PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
The Professional Program enables project teams to systematically identify, substantiate, communicate and commercially assess claims arising from changes, disruptions and breaches of contractual obligations.
Identify, substantiate and assess claims
The Professional Program is the advanced training programme for project managers, controllers, schedulers, commercial project staff and all professionals with budgetary or financial responsibility.
Claims do not arise at the end of a project – they arise in day-to-day project work
Many legitimate claims fail not because there was no entitlement, but because relevant events were identified too late, evidence was not secured systematically or formal notices were not issued correctly.
This is exactly where the Professional Program comes in. Participants learn to identify typical claim situations at an early stage and to document them from the outset in a way that creates a robust basis for claims, change orders or the defence against unjustified demands.
The programme focuses on the practical ability to develop a traceable and enforceable claim or change order from a project event.
What skills does the Professional Program provide?
After completing the Professional Program, participants will be able to:
- identify potential claims arising from changes, disruptions and breaches of contractual obligations
- better assess contractual and statutory bases of entitlement
- deal correctly with defects, obstructions, delays and risks from a formal and contractual perspective
- secure evidence through project documentation, correspondence and cost records
- prepare claims and change orders in a structured manner
- assess extensions of time, additional costs and productivity losses using appropriate methods
- present and substantiate the project’s commercial interests convincingly
- improve internal interfaces between Engineering, Project Management, Controlling and Contract Management
What does the Professional Program cover?
This programme explains how claims arise, how they are assessed and what evidence is required to enforce them successfully at a later stage.
